Peace Boomerang Celebration held
To celebrate the conclusion of the Peace Boomerangs journey we held a celebration function on the 24th of June 2006.
The Peace Boomerang has been a very successful project for the National Rover Council and Australian Rovers. It has been a great success and has raised the profile of Rovering.
The celebration dinner had representatives from each of the states present. There were presentations of the highlights of the Boomerangs travels presented by the National Coordinator and the coordinators for the project from each state. Details from the celebration can be found on the Celebration page

More Meetings
In true Rover style the Peace Boomerang has been seen attending several more meetings this week. The Peace Boomerang spent the first weekend in April with Rovers from across NSW at the Annual Rover Conference before heading home with the Greater Western Sydney Rovers. Between visiting Crews it found time to attend the GWS Region Rover Council on Wednesday. At least it will have a chance to relax while watching the sunrise in the Blue Mountains on Saturday.

Gold Coast Rovers
Gold Coast Rover took the Boomerang to the Roxy/Quicksilver Pro only to find it had been cancelled due to the bad weather. Not to be deterred they took the Boomerang to the Currumbin SLSC (where they found a local Scout Leader disguised in red and yellow). They also took the Boomerang to the movies and down to the border (of Qld and NSW) before sending it off for the handover.

Governor of Queensland
On Sunday 19th March, the Boomerang was able to visit the Governor of Qld, Quentin Bryce at Government House. This was done in conjunction with the Baden-Powell and Queens Scout Presentation. The Governor was very impressed with the project.
