How I Started In ScoutsThe Short and sweet version: I’m a member of Wellington Rover Crew in Tasmania. |
|
What I love about RoveringThe friends, the fun and the fact that no matter where you go rovers
look out for one another. |
|
Aims and ThoughtsGet Involved, you can learn so much and makes heaps of lifelong friends along the way. This year I’m here to support and encourage all rovers to take a more active role, whether it be at a local, state or national level. I also plan to represent NRC and communicate with all branches and crews so that all rovers are kept up to date with what is going on. |

How I Started In ScoutsMy time in Scouting started with Trevallyn Cub Pack at the age of 8 my interest in scouting continued as I progressed through the Scout section and onto Venturers with the same group. I completed my Premier Scout award and Queen Scout award along the way. I was involved with my regional Venturer council as an office bearer for 2 years and on the Tasmanian branch youth council. All these things have only fed my passion for Scouting. |

Aims and ThoughtsScouting has such a wonderful amount to offer to individuals and the community however it is often its own best kept secret because unlike most of the rest of society we don’t chase recognition for what we do. My aim is to continue to drive Scouting into the 21st century, making us smarter at how we deliver our programs so that we can compete with today’s myriad of opportunities for young people and deliver Scouting in new and exciting ways. |

How I Started In ScoutsMy Scouting career began as a natural family progression, with most of the family involved in Scouting in some way. I began in Cubs with Kama Scout group, and continued to develop my Scouting skills over the next few years in Scouts and Venturers completing my Queen’s Scout award. I was involved in local District and Branch Councils for Venturers. Along the way I’ve learnt more than I can remember, and have had an immense amount of fun, which has continued in my time in Rovering. |

|
Aims and ThoughtsAt this point… my aim is to promote the Rover Training Program throughout the Section. Both the Basic and Advanced. While also finding out what makes the majority of Crews work as well as they do, and developing programs to assist Crews that need a bit of a helping hand. |
